Juan José is an experienced business events professional and consultant with over 36 years of experience. He is distinguished by his passion and extensive knowledge in the industry. He holds an MBA and has expertise in project management. Starting his career in 1987 in the PCO business, he has held several key roles and is now the Global Chief Sales & Marketing Officer of BCO Congresos, a part of Grupo Barceló. His leadership has made BCO Congresos a globally recognized entity in meetings management, association management, and business events consulting.

He also consults in business development, strategies, bid management, destination marketing, and association management. His expertise is influential in the industry. Juan José served as 1st Vice-President and Treasurer of the International Congress and Conventions Association (ICCA) from 2010 to 2018 and contributes as an instructor and author for the ICCASkills program since 2021, highlighting his dedication to educating industry newcomers.
